MILA LEYVA RETIRES FROM NORA LIGHTING AFTER 23 YEARS OF SERVICE

COMMERCE, CA – Mila Leyva, the second employee to join Nora Lighting more than 23 years ago, has retired from the company, reported Jilla Farzan, Nora Lighting executive vice president.

Leyva held a range of positions at the lighting manufacturer and was promoted as the company grew. She started as the Nora office manager, was promoted to accounts receivable and then oversaw the Nora human resources department.

“We have been extremely fortunate to have Mila on our team for so many years,” said Farzan. “She joined Nora when we were just a small storefront operation on La Cienega Boulevard in Los Angeles – only four employees with a couple of accounts.

“As Nora grew, Mila took on more responsibilities and helped us achieve our goals in becoming an industry leader. Along with being a valuable team member, Mila has become a trusted friend and we will miss her smiling face everyday,” said Farzan.

Leyva mentions that she will now have time to pursue her personal interests, including Zumba and fitness classes.

“I am so thankful for having been given the opportunity to work with Nora for 23 years,” she said. “Thank you Fred (Farzan) and Jilla from the bottom of my heart for believing in me all those years.”

Nora Lighting is a major manufacturer of interior lighting products for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, educational and institutional facilities. The company has been a pioneer in the development and introduction of LED technology and features one of the industry’s most extensive selections of LED products for new construction, retrofits or remodels.
