 Call for Entries Open in 2018 Market Choice Awards


All Lightovation exhibitors encouraged to submit June 2018 product introductions at through April 13 


DALLAS, TX – Dallas Market Center and enLIGHTenment Magazine have opened the call for entries for the 2018 Market Choice Awards, inviting all Lightovation exhibitors to submit new product introductions for the June 20-23 show.

Exhibitors are eligible to submit one new product for awards in each of six categories: Bath, Ceiling Fans, Chandeliers & Pendants, Outdoor, Portable Lamps, and Technology. One winner in each category will be announced during the show.

“The Market Choice Awards program highlights the fact that the summer edition of Lightovation offers lots of new products in key categories,” says Cindy Morris, President & CEO of Dallas Market Center. “We encourage all exhibitors to submit their latest introductions in order to inspire and motivate lighting showrooms to be in Dallas this June.”

Exhibitors must upload their new product photos and information to by April 13 to be in the running. Participating exhibitors will receive high-profile exposure before, during, and after the show. This will include promotions in digital and social media as well as print, including an insert featuring all qualified entries in the June issue of enLIGHTenment that will reach the publication’s full industry-leading circulation serving the residential lighting marketplace. Collateral materials highlighting each exhibitors’ participation will also be distributed on site.

In a survey of 2017 Lightovation attendees, nearly 40 percent of buyers were seeking new designs or resources in the chandelier and pendant categories specifically, with ceiling fans and bath lighting evenly matched as the second most-shopped categories.

Last year’s Market Choice winners were the Grant bath lighting and Kona fan from Savoy House, Heywood and Beckett fixtures from Hinkley, the South Hope Portable Bluetooth outdoor LED lantern from Kichler and the Aether color-changing shallow housing downlight from WAC Lighting.
