Espen Expands Popular Double-Ended, Type B TLEDs

Espen Technology has launched two new lines of its very popular double-ended (DE), A/C-Direct (UL-Type B) LED T8 lamps:  8′ and U-bent.  The lamps are part of Espen’s Flex line of internal driver lamps.

According to John Clancy, VP of Sales at Espen, “Our new 8′ and U-bent Flex DE lamps allow A/C-Direct input from both ends, for faster and more convenient lamp replacement.   Allowing A/C-Direct input from both ends eliminates labor costs, shock-hazard, tombstone change outs, legacy ballast failures, and voltage leakage from single-end input lamps. It even frees up two socket pins for dimming or emergency back up options for the lamps. Espen’s new DE technology has become one of our most popular retrofit solutions.”

The 8′ Flex DE lamps come in 24W and 42W configurations. The lamps accept universal voltage at both ends (120 – 277VAC), and are offered in 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K CCTs. The lumen outputs are 3500 and 5500 lumens depending on the wattage, and have lamp efficacies up to 146 lpw, with CRI of 83. The 50,000 hour rated lamps come with a 5 year warranty to insure ROI for commercial retrofits. The 8′ Flex DE lamps are compatible with controls and sensors. Optically, the lamps feature frosted real glass diffusion with an extra-wide 325 degree beam angle.

Espen Technology’s Flex DE Type B U-Bent LED T8s allow for double-ended wiring or single-ended wiring. These shatterproof lamps feature a plastic tube for added convenience and safety. Each LED T8 U-Bent is also frosted to prevent glare and allow for a smooth and consistent 325 degree beam.

The U-Bent Flex DE lamps come in 14W and 17W configurations. The lamps accept universal voltage at one or both ends (120 – 277VAC), and are offered in 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K CCTs. The lumen outputs are 1800 and 2200 lumens depending on the wattage, and have lamp efficacy of 130 lpw, with CRI of 82. The 50,000 hour rated lamps come with a 5 year warranty to insure ROI for commercial retrofits. The U-Bent Double-Ended lamps work with shunted or non-shunted tombstones, while the Single-Ended work with non-shunted, only.  All are compatible with controls and sensors.
