CEDAR PARK, TX – Lambent Holdings, a portfolio company of Stone Arch Capital, a Minneapolis-based private equity firm, has acquired VLT, also known as Visual Lighting Technologies, a manufacturer of lighting products including linear LED, driver panels, specialty display, outdoor and fiber optic lighting.
Founded in 2000 by Dan Haydt, VLT joins two other notable California-based brands that make up the Lambent portfolio, Delray Lighting and LF Illumination.
Lambent and Delray CEO David Komonosky commented: “We are thrilled to add VLT to our Lambent portfolio as we believe we are at a critical inflection point of new growth opportunities as all construction market segments recover and expand in our post-pandemic reality. The timing of this acquisition is ideal and neatly falls in line with our overall strategy of growing established and differentiated lighting brands that are complimentary and not overlapping in product offering.”
LF President Loren Kessel commented: “The addition of another specialty brand that manufactures in the US and can engineer, modify and customize products strengthens our ability to assist designers in bringing their visions to light. Having (3) distinct lighting lines will enhance new product development through collaboration resulting in industry leading, innovative products. We look forward to introducing our agents, national accounts, architects, and designers to the VLT product offerings and possibilities.”
VLT brand leadership will remain with Dan Haydt who commented: “After a successful relocation to Austin, TX in 2017, we are looking forward to putting our new state-of the-art facility to work for all our combined brands and will continue to nurture relationships with our devoted VLT following of architects, designers and lighting specifiers. Also, with VLT’s locally manufactured linear pitchless LED fixtures, Lambent now has a complete offering for national account segments.”
