Lighting-focused space features education, experts & awesome VR experience

DALLAS, TX – Dallas Market Center, the home of Lightovation–Dallas International Lighting Show, announces the debut of an exciting new show feature of the 2019 Kitchen & Bath Industry Show: Lightovation Lounge, an “illuminating” area located in the tented Salon by KBIS. The KBIS show takes place at the Las Vegas Convention Center, February 19 – 21, 2019.

Lightovation Lounge features two days of lighting-focused programming by nationally-recognized lighting designer Randall Whitehead, IALD, aka “The Lighting Doctor,” and Joe Rey-Barreau, AIA, longtime director of Education for American Lighting Association, and professor at the University of Kentucky, aka “The Lighting Professor.” In addition to leading 20-minute educational sessions on a range of timely lighting topics, the “Doctor” and the “Professor” also will host office hours to meet individually with attendees to answer their lighting questions one-on-one.

Lightovation Lounge also brings Dallas Market Center’s Lightovation – Dallas International Lighting Show event to KBIS via a virtual reality experience that transports attendees to the largest residential lighting show in North America. The Lounge is presented in partnership by Dallas Market Center, the American Lighting Association and Furniture Lighting & Decor magazine. Educational programming is sponsored by Hinkley Lighting.

Dallas Market Center and National Kitchen and Bath Association have a strong history of providing the lighting industry invaluable learning opportunities. At the June 2018 edition of Lightovation, Dallas Market Center and the American Lighting Association partnered with National Kitchen and Bath Association to provide a full-day of NKBA-accredited seminars for the debut of The SMART Center, a lighting seminar and lounge space. The next edition of Lightovation takes place January 16 – 20, 2019 at Dallas Market Center, allowing lighting professionals the opportunity to attend both Lightovation and KBIS.

Additional information about the upcoming edition of Lightovation is available on the Lightovation page of the Dallas Market Center website.
