Multi-Head Luminaire Family Recognized as New Advancement in Lighting Products

Luminis is pleased to announce that its Multilux luminaire family has been selected for inclusion in the 2019 IES Progress Report, an annual publication dedicated to recognizing significant contributions to the lighting industry.

Published by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), a collegial community dedicated to improving the lighted environment, the IES Progress Committee’s mission is to track developments in the art and science of lighting worldwide.

Multilux is a range of multi-head luminaires, developed for high ceiling applications such as retail environments, grocery stores, airport terminals, dealerships, auditoriums and convention centers, and is also suitable for natatorium applications. Available in 1×1, 1×2, 1×3, 2×2 and 2×3 configurations, Multilux offers various beam angles, including a 9° narrow beam with a sharp cut-off option. There is also a 15° narrow reflector, a 30° flood optic and a 52° wide optic option. And with a 358° head rotation and 30° tilt, light can be directed exactly where needed.

“The Multilux family offers full flexibility to the designer to be able to mix and match configurations, specify particular beam angles, adjust heads or even choose characteristics of individual heads within the same fixture.” said Nicolas Cohen, president of Luminis. “We feel we have designed a product that pushes the envelope and it’s validating to see it included in the IES Progress Report.”

Acceptance in the Progress Report is based on an impartial judging process by the Committee to evaluate each submission on its uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry. Accepted submittals will be recognized at the Annual Conference in August 2019, as well as be posted on the IES website and published in LD+A magazine.
