SAN JOSE, CA – Rosendin, with national headquarters in San Jose since 1919, participated in the annual Bike MS event “2019 Bay to Bay Tour” Oct. 19 – 20, organized by the National Multiple Sclerosis (MS) Society. The team of 17 riders, called Rosendin Riders, collectively raised more than $21,500 to become one of the top-performing fundraising teams.

“Having done business in the Bay area for more than 100 years now, it has always been important to Rosendin to identify opportunities to support the local community,” said John Reece, team leader for Rosendin Riders and Sr. Project Manager with Rosendin. “We’re thrilled to be able to participate in Bike MS again this year to support research funding to cure MS and support those living with MS.”

Out of nearly 150 teams, the Rosendin Riders placed 20th for raising the most funds.

Bike MS is the largest fundraising bike series in the world. Each year, nearly 75,000 cyclists and more than 6,000 teams ride together to change the world for people with MS. The National MS Society is the largest private funder of MS research in the world, investing more than $1 billion to date.

“Being an employee-owned company means that we care about the people who work at Rosendin as well as the people in the communities we serve,” said Paolo Degrassi, Vice President at Rosendin. “I applaud the Rosendin Riders for their incredible fundraising achievement and their dedication to such a meaningful cause.”

The year 2019 marks 100 years in business for Rosendin, the electrical contracting industry’s largest employee-owned firm. Rosendin has grown tremendously since 1919, with revenues over $2 billion. No longer a small family company, Rosendin has nearly 6,000 employees across 15 regional offices nationwide, each offering an increasing number of services.
