South Shore Habitat for Humanity Extends Thanks to IBEW Local 103

WEYMOUTH, DORCHESTER, MA – South Shore Habitat for Humanity, which has delivered quality housing in partnership with families in need for the past 32 years, is grateful for the support the IBEW (International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers) Local 103 has extended over the years.

“The IBEW Local 103 has provided the electrical wiring for practically all our homes. We wish to express our boundless appreciation to all members who have given of their time and talent to help our family partners,” said Martine Taylor, Executive Director of South Shore Habitat for Humanity, noting that the union partners volunteerism with apprenticeship training. 

The Dorchester-based IBEW has a long history of giving back to the communities it serves, including the support of workforce training programs, organizations that assist military service transition back to civilian life, programs that serve homeless veterans and support medical groups that provide options for the poor in health care.

“Local 103 shares in Habitat’s vision that everyone has a decent place to live,” said Louis Antonellis, Business Manager of IBEW Local 103.  “Our members are proud to be a small part of making that vision a reality for many families on the South Shore.  We are also committed to providing first-class electrical installations in every Habitat home and look forward to continuing
