Topaz Lighting and Electrical announces new products to its line of Steel Boxes and Covers. According to Michael Balsamo, VP of Product Management, these items are a significant expansion to Topaz’s current selection of steel boxes. Made of galvanized steel, the new products include Octagon Concrete Rings and Covers, Multi-Gang Switch Boxes and Masonry Boxes.
“Our four-inch Octagon Concrete Rings and Covers are the ideal application for poured concrete construction, or installing on wooden or steel concrete forms,” Balsamo said. “Once the forms are removed, the boxes and conduit are buried in concrete and the end is open to the room wall or ceiling, ready for wire pulling.” Available in multiple depths and with sealed 1/2” or 3/4” side knockouts, these covers prevent wet concrete and water from entering the box.
Topaz has also added new Multi-Gang Switch Boxes. Constructed of welded galvanized steel, these new boxes are available in 1-5/8” or 2-1/2” deep, with 1/2” or 3/4” knockouts. Balsamo described applications for their use. “These Multi-Gang Switch Boxes are used when more than two devices or outlets are required in one box. They can be installed in walls or ceilings for lighting fixtures, switches, receptacles or other outlet devices.”
Balsamo added that Masonry Boxes are also new products in Topaz’s line of Steel Boxes and Covers. “Our new solid, multi-gang masonry boxes are used for mounting switches, plugs, outlets and other electronic and electrical devices in masonry, brick and four-inch block walls,” he said. “Their extra deep design allows for deep devices, numerous wires, switches, electronic and electrical devices.” Topaz’s Masonry Boxes are available in 2-1/2” or 3-1/2” deep.
