Universal Lighting Technologies Garners Top 50 Product Recognition from retrofit

Universal Lighting Technologies, Inc. announced its EVERLINE® T5HO LED tubes was among the 50 products that received the most reader inquiries from retrofit’s September-October 2016 through July-August 2017 editions. As a result, the product will be featured in the magazine’s fifth annual Top 50 Products special, to be published in its January-February 2018 issue.

Earlier this year, Universal introduced the T5HO LED tubes for installers looking to provide an energy-efficient, easy-to-install direct replacement option for F54T5HO fluorescent lamps.

“Our T5HO LED tubes are a quick, easy, cost-effective way for lighting installers to make the switch to LED,” said Greg Bennorth, director of product management for Universal’s EVERLINE LED Tubes. “We know that many of these professionals rely on retrofit to inform their product choices, and we’d like to thank them, and the publication, for helping to make Universal Lighting Technologies products such a popular selection.”

The T5HO tubes, which increase energy savings by more than 50 percent versus standard F54T5HO fluorescent lamps, are compatible with most Programmed Start ballasts. The tubes are easy to install and offer less maintenance than traditional fluorescent with a 50,000-plus-hour lifetime at L70. They offer a CRI of 82 and correlated color temperatures of 4000K and 5000K. The wide 240-degree beam angle eliminates dark zones ensuring uniformity and accuracy of light output.

The product is an ideal fit in the Top 50 Products issue, according to retrofit Publisher John Riester.

“We consider retrofit a source book for our readers to find innovative solutions and products for their own retrofit projects,” says Riester. “The Top 50 Products special in our January-February issue is a great resource to our readers about the products their peers thought were most interesting within the pages of retrofit.”
