A-Light’s AERIAL Selected for Inclusion in the 2018 IES Progress Report

OCEANSIDE, CA – A-Light is pleased to announce that its AERIAL product has been selected for inclusion in the 2018 IES Progress Report, an annual publication dedicated to recognizing significant contributions to the lighting industry.

The AERIAL is a linear pendant developed with the intent of re-think how interior space is illuminated. It enables designers to make a design statement while still producing functional ambient light. AERIAL features a precisely engineered micro-structure light guide, which provides direct and indirect illumination. The semi-transparent lens provides a discreet view to the core infrastructure of the luminaire.

AERIAL has an integrated standard 0-10V dimming driver, with additional driver options. It is available in 2’, 4’, 6’ and 8’ lengths, and can be easily connected to form continuous runs. Delivering more than 1,000 lumens per ft, the AERIAL offers design flexibility to specifiers.

“AERIAL combines a stunning aesthetic with high performance light,” said Tom Shaffer, president of A-Light. “It is a truly unique way of delivering light and an interesting way to make a design statement within an interior space. We’re honored that it’s been recognized in this way.”

Published by the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES), a collegial community dedicated to improving the lighted environment, the IES Progress Committee’s mission is to track developments in the art and science of lighting worldwide.

Acceptance in the Progress Report is based on an impartial judging process by the Committee to evaluate each submission on its uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry. Accepted submittals will be recognized at the Annual Conference in August 2018, as well as be posted on the IES website and published in LD+A magazine.
