The Latest on TM-30
March 20, 2019 @ 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm PDT
CRI is the standard for color rendition, but suffers from several issues. Firstly, inaccuracy due to outdated color science. Secondly, lack of information (only one number to characterize color). To address these issues, the IES formed a task group which created TM-30 and delivered to CIE which oversees CRI. This lecture is geared towards the lighting professional and designers and will answer the following questions:
- What is the correct terminology when using TM-30?
- What is the current state of color accuracy?
- Why is TM-30 needed vs. CRI?
- How do designers and specifiers apply TM-30 to real life applications?
