January 2020 Lightovation: Lighting’s Biggest Business Event of the Year

DALLAS, TX – If you’re eager to get to Dallas Market Center for the largest trade event for lighting decision makers, Lightovation – Dallas International Lighting Show, you’ll be able to experience it one week earlier than in previous years. The home of the residential lighting industry will host the event January 8-12 in 2020, concurrent with the Dallas Total Home & Gift Market, January 8-14.

“Dallas will be the global center of residential lighting commerce and business intelligence in January, with an epic show debuting more new resources, technology, and styles across all categories,” said Cindy Morris, President and CEO of Dallas Market Center. “This is a critical show for retailers to survey trends and gain insights so we are proud to add new exhibitors and to welcome expansions and renewals across the marketplace. We are anticipating a record event as the industry gathers inside the dominant trading center.”

Inside the comprehensive marketplace for all categories of lighting, ceiling fans, and smart home technology, several top lighting showrooms will debut expanded spaces in order to feature new and extensive collections. Highly-anticipated expansions include:

      Sonneman—A Way of Light, adding 3,000 square feet for a total showroom of 9,000 square feet in TM 4804, featuring contemporary fixtures and modular, scalable lighting systems.

      DALS Lighting will almost double its size in a new atrium location, TM 3602, showcasing LED lighting products focusing on innovative and emerging technologies.

      Terracotta Designs’ new location in TM 3519 is almost three times the size of its previous showroom, offering an expanded selection of residential lines of lamps and, as well as the world premiere of its sister brand, Kanova & Co.

      Ulextra will more than double its footprint by moving to TM 4517, where they will show their residential and commercial lighting products. 

These companies join other recent expansions including Eurofase, TM 4002; Kuzco, TM 4010; Fanimation, TM 4943; and Varaluz, TM 4507.

Along with expansions among existing exhibitors, a number of new exhibitors will debut. 

      Fine Art Handcrafted Lighting, formerly Fine Art Lamps, returns to Dallas with a spacious new showroom located on the atrium in TM 4705. Fine Art is world-renowned for achieving high artistic standards in the creation of unique and original lighting designs of beautiful American studio glass, handcrafted metals and other unique materials with exquisite hand-applied finishes.

      Acuity Brands will showcase their residential and retail lines of smart home, LED, and lighting solutions in a new custom, interactive space. Juno AI will be among the innovative products showcased: an LED recessed light that not only illuminates a room but also controls any smart home device that works with Alexa.

      Brazilian company Accord Lighting will show its contemporary wood lamps and lighting in TM 3533.

      Leading Australian lighting and ceiling fan company Beacon Lighting will be exhibiting in TM 4933.

      Artika, based in Quebec, is moving into TM 3309 to showcase its lighting solutions.

      Viz Glass opens its first branded permanent space in Dallas in TM 4509, featuring colorful blown glass artistry.

      Among the newest brands joining the Spectrum shared showroom in TM 4432 are ceiling fan resource Aeratron, and XO Logic, Windward Software and SPECTRA providing software and technology services for showrooms.

Inside Light + Design on Ten (WTC 10085), the Smarter Living by Design smart home showroom has been updated to include new experiences such as The Wall Luxury by Samsung. The installation utilizes a new generation of display technology and may be  programmed to customized content in order to create living environments that are awe-inspiring with a slim design and seamless. Other new resources in Light + Design include Urban 33, a company with a range of retro-stylish fixtures, chandeliers and lamps.

In addition to new products, Lightovation is the lighting industry hub for insights and business intelligence as well as educational events and networking opportunities. Inside The SMART Center (TM 4826), a dynamic seminar, meeting and lounge space, educational events will include free sessions focused on innovative approaches to marketing your business, as well as lighting applications.

Lighting manufacturers, retailers, designers and sales representatives will be among those honored at the 31st ARTS Awards, a black-tie gala recognizing leaders in all facets of the home accessories industry. The gala will take place on Friday, January 10, 2020, at the Hilton Anatole, with cocktails at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The ARTS Awards are co-produced by Dallas Market Center and ART, the creative home furnishings network.
