Espen Technology has announced its launch of 3-output, 3-CCT selectable, Back-Lit panel retrofit kits, as part of its Versa KitTM family of retrofit kits. These advanced kits easily convert 2X2 and 2X4 fluorescent troffers to the most current LED technology. The new panel kits increased the efficacy to 125 lpW for Back-Lit versus 100 lpW for the previous edge-lit panels. As a result of the higher efficiency, the new Back-Lit panels are certified as DLC Premium, which often qualifies for larger utility rebates.
The new panels allow 3-outputs and 3-CCTs to be selected, per model. This can potentially allow one panel retrofit kit model to replace up to 9 SKUs, or up to an 89% reduction in SKUs, to reduce inventory carrying costs for distributors and contractors. Both 2X2 and 2X4 models permit easy output and CCT selection through simple dip switches on the back of the kits.
The new 2X2 back-lit panel retrofit kits offers: Selectable wattage options of 16/19/23 watts; Selectable lumen output options of 2000/2375/2875 lumens; Selectable CCT options of 3500/4000/5000 K.
The new 2X4 back-lit panel retrofit kits offer: Selectable wattages options of 29/32/36 watts; Selectable lumen output options of 3300/3600/4200 lumens; Selectable CCT options of 3500/4000/5000 K.
Additional performance features include: universal input voltage (120 – 277VAC); 0-10V dimmable; 5-year warranty; cULus listed; DLC Premium listed, 125 lpW; >100,000 hour L70 rated life; Emergency driver option available.
Both the 2X2 and 2×4 LED troffer retrofits come completely assembled as a lensed kit, requiring only one minute to install, reducing labor costs. They provide the ideal way to replace existing 2X2 and 2X4 recessed troffers, utilizing the existing fixture housing. The kit provides all the components needed to perform the change out quickly and efficiently, allowing for system upgrades without disturbing the ceiling. With a special 2-in-1 design, the kits fit for both air return troffers and standard troffers.
