American Lighting has expanded its MicroLink linkable linear bar light series to simplify
task and accent lighting installations for new construction and remodel applications. The
MicroLink family now includes the existing 24V 3000K system, the new plug-and-play 120V
3000K offering and an exciting new 24VDC option featuring RGB + Tunable White
controllability. All three fixtures in the MicroLink family offer the ability to seamlessly
interconnect multiple fixtures to give the appearance of one continuous luminaire.
The new 120V MicroLink offers a 3000K color temperature with 90+ CRI, delivering
approximately 250 lumens per foot – the perfect solution for simple task and accent lighting
applications. These simple, interconnectable fixtures are offered in 6”, 12”, 24” and 36” sections
and can be linked up to 39 feet. Also new to the MicroLink family, the 24VDC color-changing
MicroLink RGB + Tunable White fixture provides the perfect solution for exciting, customized
spaces with its vibrant custom color and CCT adjustability, producing approximately 250 lumens
per foot. Fixture sizes available in 6”, 12”, 24” and 36” can be linked up to 16.4 feet. Both
fixtures have diffused lenses for smooth, evenly distributed light with a 120° beam angle.
The easy-to-install MicroLink Series is the ultimate linear lighting labor saver. In a
traditional tape lighting application, an installer would first mount their mounting channel, then
lay in their tape and finally snap in their lenses – usually, use of jumpers and power feeds would
have to be considered for left and right turns, or restarting the fixture. With MicroLink, the LEDs
are already installed within the channel and lens, saving up to 50% on installation time compared
to traditional linear lighting installations. MicroLink also includes pre-made, illuminated L
connectors in both low voltage offerings. With the expanded MicroLink family, linear lighting
applications are now, quite literally, a snap to complete.
