Fulham’s family of small-form-factor in-fixture Emergency LED drivers with integrated
batteries (‘combo units’) has undergone an expansion with the introduction of a new 12W
HotSpot® Constant Power component (FHSCP-UNV-12W-L-SD). This new EM driver boasts
dimensions of just 12.50”L x 1.63”W x 1.00”H, making it smaller than most in-fixture 10W
emergency drivers on the market today. What this means is that slim, architectural luminaires or
lighting fixtures such as vapor tights, low bays or linear fixtures will no longer face the same
challenges fitting emergency capability into their fixtures (or will no longer be limited to
considering lower power than they truly need, based on the lower output of something that may
happen to fit). The FHSCP-UNV-12W-L-SD offers a welcomed intersection of high output and
small size.
Additional attributes include a standard self-test feature that eliminates the need for
cumbersome manual testing, Emergency Battery Disconnect/EBD (where the LED load can be
shut off via its test switch without physically disconnecting the battery), and a wide output range
of 12-55VDC. This new 12W EM combo driver and integrated battery is BC, cULus and RoHS
Compliant. It compliments Fulham’s existing 4W in-fixture combo unit – the Industry’s smallest
4W EM System at just 5.32”L x 1.69”W x 1.01”H – and this HotSpot family of components will
soon also be rounded out with 8W and 10W units, as well.
