SAN JOSE, CA – Cupertino Electric was ranked the fifth largest electrical contractor by EC&M in the magazine’s Top 50 Electrical Contractors list published September 20, 2021. The list highlights U.S.-based electrical construction firms and includes an article detailing why companies on the list succeeded or failed in 2021.
Cupertino Electric’s diversified portfolio of data center, distributed generation, renewable, energy storage, commercial and pre-fabricated modular projects was instrumental to its high rank on the 2021 list. The accompanying article also discusses the future of construction technology adoption and the hurdles to integrating technology into construction projects.
Cupertino Electric’s CEO Tom Schott, says, “A constant issue in front of us is so many new technologies and new software platforms. It can be overwhelming when you have four different projects underway, and four different software platforms you’re working with. So you have to be careful sometimes about grabbing the shiny new thing. There’s an impact on employees when we throw too much at them.” It’s this thoughtful approach to productivity that has helped CEI secure a top spot on the annual EC&M list for more than a decade.
