Eaton recently announced the expansion of its Metalux ambient lighting solutions products with the introduction of the FPanel flat panel series and the RTC shallow troffer series. The two new LED luminaires offer superior performance, high energy efficiency and are compatible with Eaton’s lighting controls solutions.
“Commercial builders and facility managers are continually looking for lighting solutions that deliver the latest in technology, versatility and energy efficiency, while providing a modern look,” said Joe Semaan, director of marketing and product management, Eaton’s Lighting Division. “These new additions to the Metalux family of commercial luminaires offer high-performance solutions using Eaton’s LED technology. And, they are compatible with our controls solutions, which take the guesswork out of facilities management and improve the lighting for optimal comfort, productivity and energy savings.”
Eaton’s RTC series is a classic center-basket LED luminaire with a durable design, premium efficacy and integrated control features. Unlike most luminaires, RTC’s 2.5-inch height makes it ideal for shallow and restricted plenum applications. RTC includes five stock lumen packages in color temperatures of 3500K and 4000K along with numerous control options and factory-installed sensors. Its fully integrated sensors include Eaton’s WaveLinx wireless control system as well as LumaWatt Pro enabling Internet of Things (IoT) connectivity for use in multiple applications including offices, schools, hospitals and retail spaces.
The FPanel LED series utilizes edge lit design creating an ultra-thin luminaire that is only 1.75-inches in height, making it ideal for shallow plenum recessed, suspended and surface-mount applications. Its sealed construction makes it a low-maintenance design that is durable, with contractor-friendly installation features. The FPanel features multiple DLC qualified configurations for use in low and high ceiling applications and contributes to strong return on investment, with up to 53 percent energy savings.
Additionally, both products can be used to comply with California Title 24 non-residential lighting controls requirements, are UL-listed for damp locations, and qualify for DLC Network Lighting Control (NLC) incentives when combined with Eaton’s DLC NLC qualified control systems.
