Course Description: Human-centric lighting’ is a buzzy industry phrase, but rarely contextualized in a practical way for the environments we design. This presentation seeks to provide guidance on how to take a human-centric approach to lighting and daylighting design, with special emphasis on work environments. Key design considerations will be explained throughout the presentation, including lighting quality, natural light, connection to outdoors, and adaptive and personalized controls. Through completing this CEU, designers will be encouraged and empowered to communicate the value of their human-centric lighting designs to their clients.
