Evluma releases ConnectLED Android v3.0 wireless lighting app with expanded device compatibility and new user-friendly interface. Now available on Google Play.
RENTON, WA – LED lighting manufacturer Evluma adds Android phones to the expanding list of ConnectLED compatible devices with the release of an updated version of ConnectLED for Android. The v3.0 release simultaneously updates the application to match the user-friendly interface developed for iOS and expands the number of compatible Android devices, including phones. Until now the Android version of the app had only run on Android tablets with a 7 inch or larger screen. ConnectLED uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate to Evluma’s LED streetlighting products: AreaMax and OmniMax.
“Device surveys performed by Evluma’s Customer Service and Marketing Departments indicate that a significant number of our customers use both Android phones and tablets in the field,” says Evluma’s Marketing Director Cathleen Shattuck. “The new version of the interface is intuitive and easy-to-use. If utilities are already using Android phones or tablets for AMI or work order management, the ConnectLED lighting management app can easily ride along-side. “
ConnectLED allows utilities and municipalities to dim and disconnect all Evluma lighting products including a dim-to-off setting that permits lights to be turned off completely for any portion of the evening. Administrators can easily manage licensing, permissions and updates using the ConnectLED Customer Administrator Portal (CAP). “ConnectLED is a cost-effective solution for any utility looking to explore the benefits of lighting controls without the commitment of a complex, networked, architecture.”
The Android app was first released in 2014 and been a staple for utilities looking to control Elvuma’s AreaMax street and area lighting product family. Short-term, promotional licenses are available for owners of Evluma products that wish to trial the Bluetooth wireless lighting app. Current customers that need assistance with the software upgrade or wish to request a list of compatible devices can contact Evluma Customer Support at (425)-336-5800, option 1.
Evluma’s high standard of customer service enables a constant feedback stream to their Renton, Washington facility to create products that meet the needs of the utilities and contractors they work with every day.
