Fulham is pleased to announce the launch of a new ‘Type HL’ 40W LED driver with
integrated emergency backup (EM driver and LiFePO4 battery), all housed within one versatile,
compact case (part number FHSAC1-UNV-40C-HL). This single ‘combo’ Fulham HotSpot™
Plus component measures just 6.32” X 3.13” X 1.14” and meets the need for a driver in both
normal and emergency operation — adding convenience, speed and savings to installation.
Its output current in Normal Operating Mode can be between 250mA to 1400mA, with a
voltage range of 11-55VDC and maximum output power of 40 Watts. It’s 0-10V dimmable and is
a fully-potted component that meets UL 924, NFPA 101 and Type HL requirements. This means
that it is suited for luminaires used in applications such as oil rigs (or near other oil & gas
industry settings) and areas near volatile organic compounds (VOCS), such as paint booths.
Typical lighting fixtures for which this is recommended include flood lights, wall packs,
downlights and more.
In Emergency Mode, the FHSAC1-UNV-40C-HL is a Constant Power driver that can be
programmed for either 180 minutes at 5 Watts or 90 minutes at 10 Watts – via Fulham’s easy-to-
use handheld programmer. The driver is equipped with self-diagnostic capability as a standard
feature, to also save time and eliminate the hassle of cumbersome manual testing.
