LAS VEGAS, NV—Helix Electric of Nevada is pleased to announce the completion of the new Las Vegas exhibition, Meow Wolf’s Omega Mart, located in the Area15 complex, west of The Strip. This new attraction is an interactive grocery store designed by over 352 international and local artists, which incorporates RFID readers, facial scanners, sounds, film and digital content throughout the exhibit.
“There were countless creators and designers that worked tirelessly to make this state-of-the-art exhibit come to life and we are honored to have been part of it,” said Victor Fuchs, president of Helix Electric of Nevada. “While the pandemic presented some challenges throughout the installation process, the Helix team remained focused on completing the project and delivering an out-of-this-world lighting experience beyond anything Las Vegas has ever seen.”
Helix Electric began executing the electrical scope of work in January 2019 and completed the project in February 2021. The scope of work included the installation of lighting control systems and LED strip lights. The project team worked cohesively with the general contractor, Martin- Harris Construction, and artists to power all art displays within the exhibit, totaling 38 individual zone boxes with necessary outgoing cables to control lighting, sound, movement, and interactive RFID readers.
Helix also completed the installation of several video projectors, audio systems, lasers and, most importantly, the Laser Harp and Crevassi Stream, which provide a unique and interactive experience for visitors.
