Eaton announced the latest accessories and new outdoor fixture available for its HALO Home™ Smart Lighting System, a simple, smart and secure way for homeowners to wirelessly connect, automate and control smart lights within one platform using Bluetooth® mesh networking. The new additions to the HALO Home system are designed to help homeowners personalize lighting scenes to enhance everyday moments at home, and incorporate additional security settings while away. They include the HALO Home In-Wall Smart Dimmer, which allows almost any traditional fixture to be controlled as a smart light within the HALO Home system; the HALO Home In-Wall Accessory Dimmer, which delivers added control for HALO Home fixtures; and the HALO Home Outdoor Security Smart LED Motion Floodlight.
The new HALO Home In-Wall Smart Dimmer controls standard lighting fixtures with the switch or through the HALO Home mobile app, transforming almost any traditional light into a smart light within the HALO Home system. The new HALO Home In-Wall Accessory Dimmer controls HALO Home fixtures, simplifying the process for homeowners to control HALO Home lights through one or more dimmers and enabling color tuning customization for different scenarios.
Both the In-Wall Accessory and Smart Dimmers provide on/off and dimming capabilities, as well as group, scene and schedule controls through the HALO Home mobile app so homeowners can quickly and seamlessly use lighting to enhance the moment for any activity. Other dimmers and switches on the market present remote access and scheduling challenges if the power source is inadvertently turned off. Both the HALO Home In-Wall Smart and Accessory dimmers allow homeowners to manually turn lights on and off at the switch while still enabling full wireless control within the HALO Home system.
In addition to on/off, dimming, grouping, scene setting, scheduling and white tuning capabilities, the new HALO Home Outdoor Security Smart LED Motion Floodlight allows homeowners to group motion floodlights with other lights in and around the home. While away or traveling, homeowners benefit from creating scenes to make it appear someone is home by setting lights to activate throughout the home when motion is detected.
Unlike other smart lighting solutions currently available on the market that offer an individual switch or bulb-turned-wireless, Eaton is among the first in the industry to leverage Bluetooth® mesh networking for the HALO Home Smart Lighting System to serve as a single platform that wirelessly integrates fixtures and controls seamlessly, without the need for a hub or gateway. All HALO Home system fixtures, accessories and controls are accessible via the HALO Home mobile app, and the optional HALO Home Internet Access Bridge provides WiFi connectivity, enabling remote access through compatible smart hubs and devices.
