Available in Metallic and Non-Metallic versions – both with 1-Gang and 2-Gang options – each model features a variety of different device configurations to suit multiple applications. The advanced design of Orbit’s weatherproof covers result in a series which meets NEC Code for “Extra Duty”, making them perfect for any outdoor installation.
1-Gang Non-Metallic Covers are available as the 2-3/4” deep WIU-1U-ED and the 3-1/2” deep WIU-1UD-ED model, both which feature 14 different device configurations. The 2-Gang Non-Metallic Cover, WIU-2UD-ED, is 3-1/2” deep and features 31 different device configurations. Each model is constructed with Impact-Resistant Thermoplastic to further protect devices.
Metallic 1-Gang Covers are available in a horizontal model (WIUM-1DH), which is expandable to 2-3/4” and 3-3/4”, and in a vertical model (WIUM-1DV) which is expandable to 2-3/4” and 4”. Each features 7 different device configurations. Metallic 2-Gang Covers, WIUM-2U, are compatible with horizontal or vertical devices, expandable to 3-1/4” and 4-1/2” and have up to 32 different device configurations. Both 1-Gang and 2-Gang models are constructed with Heavy-Duty Die-Cast Metal.
Each cover, Metallic and Non-Metallic, feature a pre-installed adhesive gasket and a pad-lockable design for additional security. The design of Orbit’s WIU Covers protect electrical devices from the elements and unwanted attention, ensuring devices will continue working long after you have finished installing.
