RACO has introduced a 3-piece coupling that connects threaded conduit to threaded or unthreaded conduit. The Super Coupling speeds and simplifies installation. RACO, part of Hubbell Commercial Construction, provides innovative electrical products to commercial and residential markets.
RACO’s new fitting couples threaded rigid/IMC conduit to either threaded or unthreaded rigid/IMC or EMT conduit. Inside the unit, a universal compression ring secures the conduit. The Super Coupling saves time two ways: the coupling doesn’t need to be disassembled and the conduit doesn’t need to be turned. Field threading or turning conduit is a tedious and time-consuming process required for traditional three-piece couplings.
The compact Super Coupling makes installation easier in limited spaces. It’s also lighter than traditional malleable iron 3-piece couplings. The zinc-plated steel fitting is UL Listed Concrete-tight. The new fitting is available in four sizes, ranging from 2-1/2″ to 4.”
