Orbit Industries announces the addition of pre-assembled junction boxes – previously available by special order only – to its new Ready-To-Install product line. These popular outlet box assemblies include pre-installed UMA-LVBS bracket, mud ring, and pigtail. The LVBS Series reduces ordering complexity, carries no lead time, and requires little-to-no assembly in the field!
Prior to the introduction of Orbit’s Pre-assembled UMA-LVBS with Square Box and Device Ring, contractors would typically need to purchase a long list of components. They would then assemble these components in a fabrication shop or in the field. Depending on the job, several types of junction boxes might be required to fit specific applications (for instance, “FB” style boxes that mount to-stud; non-bracketed boxes for between-stud). The common by-product: huge scrap piles, and hours of non-productive assembly time.
But now, with the LVBS Series, contractors need only specify one or two part numbers to cover a wide variety of devices and applications. These assemblies come right out of the package, ready for rough-in, either direct to wall studs or between studs.
Orbit’s Universal Mounting Adapter with Back Support (UMA-LVBS) mounts direct-to open or closed sides of a wall stud. UMA-LVBS provides ample back support in up to 3-1/2” deep studs. Range of depth can be increased up to 6” with accessory FS-456-EXT.
For mounting between studs, the LVBS Series snaps onto Orbit’s Simple Support Bracket for up to 5” Boxes (SSB-T5). Slide the box assembly along the SSB-T5 rails, and lock it to the desired location with a single Tek screw.
Orbit’s Pre-assembled UMA-LVBS with Square Box and Device Ring can be purchased with a fixed mud ring (5/8” raised); in either 1-gang (LVBS-4-158) or 2-gang (LVBS-4-258) openings. These assemblies can also be purchased with adjustable mud rings (5/8” to 1-1/4”); also in 1-gang (LVBS-4-A158) and 2-gang (LVBS-4-A258).
The LVBS Series is sold in packages of 25, and can ship immediately without any extra lead time. Ordering is incredibly simple compared to piece-by-piece assembly. Installers can rough-in immediately, right out of the package with no additional assembly.
