REVO Lighting Releases Modular RDL Architectural Downlight Series

REVO Lighting announced the release of its modular RDL Architectural Downlight Series. This downlight family is notable for a variety of cutting-edge features.

The RDL family of modular downlights are built around two light engine options: one IC rated that is 20W/15W/10W – selectable that is also 3-CCT selectable, and a second that is non-IC, 40W, and 3-CCT selectable. This engine is then twist & lock paired with reflectors+trims that come in 4”, 6”, 8”, and 10” apertures. In addition, there are round, square, round wall wash, and square wall wash versions, in all four diameter sizes. A unique sealed surface-mount model is specially designed for wet locations.

Another important feature is the integrated J-box for direct wiring the fixture, which eliminates the recessed can. The integrated J-box also eliminates the time and cost of installing a traditional J-box for each fixture.

The 20W/15W/10W IC light engine is up to 1,500 lumen output, and the 40W non-IC engine has 3,200 lumen output. The 3-CCT selection switch on both engines permits 3000K, 3500K, or 4000K CCT options. The entire family allows any RDL downlight to replace up to 12 fixed wattage & CCT models, reducing inventory for both contractors and distributors.

Other notable features include 120-277VAC input voltage, a white or “haze” (metallic) trim finish, cULus damp location listing, ENERGY STAR Certification, optional new construction frame kit, optional emergency driver, and 0-10V dimming standard down to 10%.

“The new RDL Architectural Downlights provide extraordinary versatility and modularity, while simultaneously eliminating the recessed can and separate J-box. Specifiers, contractors, and distributors have responded enthusiastically to seeing them,” stated Sam Sinai, CEO of REVO Lighting.
