The Belding FIRST Robotics program has been in place for over 10 years, with an average of 15 participating students during the competition’s season. Past accomplishments for the club include several tournament champion trophies, State Tournament Champion in the 2013-2014 season and simultaneous placement in the top 50 of more than 400 teams at the Worlds Championship in Anaheim, California.
“The team could not have been able to compete at this level without the support of Robroy Enclosures over the past 10 years,” stated William Doty, Belding Robotics Team Coach.
“We consider ourselves very lucky to have Robroy Enclosures in our backyard because they are a constant reminder to our kids that there are good jobs available, even in small towns, for those students who push through the challenging STEM coursework to pursue a degree in engineering.”
“As a manufacturing company dependent on the skills of engineers and technicians we have always financially supported STEM education,” states Jeff Seagle, president of Robroy Enclosures. “It has been extremely gratifying to watch the team grow and progress over 10 years. We look forward to seeing these students return home after graduation in a STEM degree program to help local companies like ourselves grow and keep good jobs in the area.”
