Electrical Contracting Company Honored for Innovative Tech Upgrades to 97-Year Old Stadium
Rosendin, the electrical contracting industry’s largest employee-owned firm, is proud to be honored for its work using innovative technology solutions to enhance fan experiences at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. Rosendin was recently awarded the prestigious 2020 Integration Award Best Large Venue Project by CE Pro/Commercial Integrator for its work on the historic stadium.
The California company created an impressive technology foundation at the Coliseum to entertain large crowds attending University of Southern California (USC) football games and other events. This includes installing 500 4k display monitors, a large video wall, touch screens for video and audio levels, and specialty features to create an immersive experience in suites.
“The L.A. Memorial Coliseum is already one of the most iconic stadiums in the world, so it was thrilling for Rosendin to be able to contribute new technology ideas and develop systems that will give every visitor a unique and exciting experience,” said Dustin Bransford, Rosendin Audio/Visual Engineer. “We are honored by this award and want to recognize everyone on our team and the construction teams for their dedication and hard work”.
Rosendin designed the innovative audio/visual system using Crestron’s advanced control systems to allow suite guests to customize displays and audio levels. It’s not just for entertainment. Stadium staff can also reconfigure suites, clubs, and conference rooms from a single location using a Creston Virtual Control platform, saving employees enormous set-up time.
“The flexibility in this system allows users to broadcast to 500 displays in the Coliseum from a single point, so we are excited to see how it will be used to entertain fans during USC football games, rock concerts, and other events,” said Bransford.
Rosendin also wants to thank the team at Creston for helping to create this custom solution.
