LOS ANGELES, CA – Silvair, a pioneer in mesh lighting networks and a leading provider of qualified Bluetooth mesh solutions for lighting control, announces a partnership with LA Lighting, a leading American manufacturer of quality lighting products.
Silvair facilitates the transition to wireless by providing lighting manufacturers with complete lighting firmware, as well as a set of commissioning tools that radically simplify and accelerate the commissioning process. As a leading contributor to the development of the Bluetooth mesh standard, the company offers solutions that have been qualified by the Bluetooth SIG. This shortens time-to-market for manufacturers, while ensuring cross-vendor interoperability within the qualified Bluetooth mesh ecosystem.
With over 30 years of manufacturing commercial and industrial luminaires, Los Angeles Lighting Manufacturing Company, Inc., leads the way in integrating wireless controls into their entire product line. From high bays to recessed troffers, every lighting application has the ability to ulitize Bluetooth mesh into the fixture. To showcase the outstanding capabilities of Bluetooth mesh lighting networks, the company will install a demo wireless control system at its LA office.
“We’re extremely excited to see the largest lighting manufacturer on the West Coast join the Bluetooth mesh ecosystem. Renowned for high quality and reliability, luminaires from LA Lighting can now be used in robust Bluetooth mesh lighting networks that drive energy efficiencies and facilitate compliance with building energy codes. We’re looking forward to the opportunities this partnership will bring for both companies,” says Rafal Han, CEO of Silvair.
“The next step in lighting controls is Bluetooth mesh wireless controls, and partnering with Silvair, integrating their firmware into our luminaires. Customizing our fixtures with their wireless system allows us to offer a complete lighting solution to the end user. We always include a wireless control to every fixture we demonstrate to our customers, to show them the benefits and advantages over traditional lighting,” says Bill Shapiro, President and founder of LA Lighting.
This partnership marks further expansion of the Bluetooth mesh ecosystem. Since its adoption in 2017, the Bluetooth mesh standard continues to gain momentum in professional lighting applications. Designed specifically to address the challenging requirements of wireless lighting control, it is the first low-power communication technology that solves the three pain points of today’s connected lighting systems: reliability, scalability and simplicity. It also democratizes lighting control, allowing manufacturers of all sizes and geographies to join a globally interoperable ecosystem of devices that work with each other out of the box.
Both Silvair and LA Lighting will have their booths at the upcoming LIGHTFAIR International 2019 in Philadelphia, US. At booth #3830, Silvair will showcase multiple interoperable products from its partners, as well as its robust commissioning tools. At booth #1763, LA Lighting will present a wide array of its LED luminaires featuring highest quality, state-of-the-art components.
