DALLAS, TX – The first Lightovation Speaker Series: Connected/Smart Home was announced in partnership with the American Lighting Association (ALA). The inaugural educational event on Thursday, June 22, will focus on new technologies and opportunities for lighting showrooms to capitalize on connected lighting and the smart home. The series takes place during the June 21-24 edition of Lightovation – Dallas International Lighting Show and will be hosted in the Light + Technology showroom (TM 4804), a future hub for exhibits in that category at what is already the largest residential lighting marketplace in North America.
The day will conclude with a hospitality hour aimed at encouraging collaboration between the lighting industry, the interior design trade, residential technologists, remodelers, builders, and kitchen and bath designers – all stakeholders in the success of consumer smart home installations.
Additionally, ALA will host two sessions on Monday, June 22, and Friday, June 23, that will cover research about how consumers shop for lighting and lighting for aging and low-vision populations. These sessions will take place in the ALA Seminar Center (WTC 345) and are offered to ALA members for $49 and $79 for non-ALA members.
All educational sessions on all three days will earn accreditation toward ALA Certified Lighting Consultant (CLC®) status.
Registration for the June 21-24 edition of Lightovation is open, and exclusive hotel and airfare rates can be booked through Market Travel. Additional information about the show will be posted as it becomes available to the Lightovation page of the Dallas Market Center website.
