Long-Term Partnership to Include Naming Rights of Wrigley Field Suite Level
The Chicago Cubs announced IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. as a Legacy Partner, extending the current long-term partnership to include naming rights to the IDEAL Suite Level and new Cree Lighting Club. IDEAL, a diversified global family business that designs and manufactures superior products, tools and systems for professional tradesmen and building management executives, has been a partner of the Cubs since 2016. IDEAL acquired Cree Lighting earlier this year.
IDEAL was selected in 2015 to provide lighting controls inside Wrigley Field as part of the 1060 Project. Since then, Audacy, IDEAL’s wireless lighting control system which takes scheduling, ambient light and occupancy into account for ideal lighting levels, has been installed in Wrigley Field’s renovated clubhouse, suite level and adjacent office tower.
“We’re thrilled to add another family-owned local company as a Legacy Partner,” said Cubs President of Business Operations Crane Kenney. “With IDEAL’s partnership, we will be able to create an elevated and more modern gameday experience for fans through the installation of new phone charging and wireless lighting systems.”
As part of the partnership, IDEAL’s innovative charging system, PowerPuck®, which can charge up to 20 devices simultaneously when attached to the low voltage, safe-to-touch rail, will be installed in the Cree Lighting Club and in each suite on the IDEAL Suite Level.
“We were honored to be part of the Cubs organization’s renovation of Wrigley Field,” said Jim James, chairman and CEO of IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. “With these improvements, Wrigley now sparkles with the most advanced technical infrastructure in sports and entertainment and serves as an incredible innovation showcase for Cree Lighting and IDEAL PowerPuck® device charging system.”
IDEAL becomes the 12th Legacy Partner of the Cubs joining Advocate Health Care, American Airlines, Anheuser-Busch, ATI Physical Therapy, Beam Suntory, Gallagher, Marriott, Nuveen, Sloan Valve Company, Toyota and Wintrust.
