Acclaim Lighting introduces AJBOX1, a weathertight, outdoor rated junction box designed to separate the Acclaim hybrid cables into separate AC power and DMX conduit runs for quick and easy installations.
Providing a physical barrier between high and low voltage to comply with NEC code requirements, AJBOX1 features push terminals to quickly connect cables with an integral 5kA, 10kV built-in surge protection for any fixtures in line. It can handle a total line wattage up to 1.8kW at 120VAC and 4.155kW at 277VAC with a maximum conductor size of 12 AWG and maximum input voltage of 390VAC. Its maximum connection amperage is 15A.
AJBOX 1 features two 1/2” NPT conduit inlets for separate AC and control cable inputs, and one 3⁄4”NPT external conduit outlet for the hybrid feed cable. The internal connections include two 3-conductor push terminals for AC and control links. The AJBOX1 can be used as part of an outdoor link system or an individual fixture with a hybrid feed cable.
AJBOX1 is made of lightweight, black finish aluminum and includes aluminum conduit connection caps. Its 4” round top cover is compatible with Dyna Accent and Dyna Accent Mini for direct mounting. AJBOX1 will perform in temperatures of -40°F to 140 °F (-40º C to 60º C) and comes with a five-year limited warranty.
