Espen Technology Eliminates 8’ TLED Breakage

Espen Technology has announced its first-to-market 8’ TLED lamp solution that utilizes two 4’ lamps.  Part of its Uniflex family of Type A+B hybrid lamps, the 8’ TLED eliminates all 8’ TLED lamp breakage during shipping, by combining two 4’ lamps.

This novel 8’ TLED approach consolidates lamp stocking to reduce inventory costs for distributors and contractors, by eliminating 8’ TLED inventories and using 4’ TLED’s suitable for both 4’ and 8’ applications.  In addition, the Uniflex 8’ solution requires less storage space, using 4’ long boxes, instead of 8’ long boxes.

The 8’ TLED solution operates in Type A (electronic ballast compatible) mode, as well as Type B (line voltage, 120-277VAC) mode.  These Uniflex hybrid Type A+B lamps further reduce stocking and inventory costs by working in Type A and Type B applications.  Further, if an old fluorescent ballast dies while powering the Type A+B TLEDs, the bad ballast can be bypassed with line voltage run to the tombstones and the lamps can continue to operate, without replacing the fluorescent ballast.

The Type A+B, 8’ lamp solution is offered in 3600 lumen and 5500 lumen packages, as well as CCTs of 3000K, 3500K, 4000K, and 5000K.  They come with an ultra-wide beam angle of 325 degrees and a 50,000 rated life.

“These 8’ TLED solutions are an industry first and eliminate freight claims for broken 8’ lamps,” stated John Clancy, SVP of Sales & Marketing at Espen Technology.  Clancy added, “Espen Technology is always innovating and leading the lighting industry.
