IDEA’s Mary Shaw Elected to Board of ETIM International

ARLINGTON, VA – On June 20th, Mary Shaw was elected to the board of members of ETIM International. She and Frank Jaegtnes from Norway were selected to replace board members Eric Piers and Sverker Skoglund, who were ineligible for re-election.

Shaw is looking forward to applying her three decades of experience in standardization to a fresh perspective on the needs of the new ETIM markets in North America.

“It is an enormous honor to be elected,” said Shaw to IDEA. “This is a unique opportunity to leverage both my experience and perspective to serve the needs of expanding standards markets in North America.”

Paul Molitor, CEO and president of IDEA, agreed that Shaw’s appointment is significant. “It’s not often you get a chance to capture a governance seat on a global standards committee,” he said.

Shaw’s tenure as a board member began on June 20th, and will run for three years, at which point she will be eligible for re-election for another three years.
