Larson Electronics LLC Releases Ultra Low-Profile Explosion Proof LED Light

Larson Electronics LLC released a new extra low-profile explosion proof LED light fixture, which is a reliable and effective replacement for traditional hazardous location luminaries. The explosion proof LED is paint spray booth approved, holds ATEX and IECEx certifications, making it ideal for paint booths, oil rigs, offshore applications, manufacturing and chemical storage and other explosive environments.

The EPL-LP-48-LED-SFC.LP from Larson Electronics is an ultra-low-profile explosion proof LED producing 13,520 lumens of the highest quality illumination, drawing just 104 watts. This LED light has a color temperature of 5000K, and a color rendering index of 75 which produces highly accurate colors and details. Additionally, the EPL-LP-48-LED-SFC.LP has a unique design which uses positioned boards within the fixture to provide a brilliant 100° horizontal beam spread and 140° vertical beam spread, without sacrificing quality or output.

This explosion proof LED is Class I Divisions 1 & 2, Class II Divisions 1 & 2 rated and features an extra low-profile surface mount bracket allowing it to be installed virtually flush with the mounting surface. The fixture takes up half the surface area as a standard four foot 2-lamp unit, making it one of the lowest profile explosion proof fixtures on the market. The light is equipped with terminal strips for wiring and is universal voltage capable. The copper-free aluminum body is powder coated and IP67 rated. This LED is also dust proof and protected against pressure jets and temporary submersion, great for use in waste and water treatment plants, refineries, or solvent and cleaning areas.

“The most notable feature on this explosion proof LED light is its ultra-low profile and compact form,” said Rob Bresnahan, CEO of Larson Electronics LLC. “Taking up half the surface area of a standard light, with less than a 5 inch depth, it can fit just about anywhere without becoming a safety hazard, or taking up unnecessary space.”
