ATLANTA, GA – LightShow West has announced a new education series, Control Systems Summit: A Lighting Revolution, will take place Oct. 12 as part of the two-day trade show and conference at Kentia Hall in the Los Angeles Convention Center Oct. 11-12. In the age of smart buildings, intelligent systems and smart homes, the central element is a control system that performs one or more functions to increase the flexibility of systems used, including lighting. With such an emphasis placed on functionality that can ultimately reduce energy costs and improve sustainability, it’s no wonder lighting controls are at the forefront of the minds of many in the California market. From wireless controls to occupant sensing, the Control Systems Summit at LightShow West provides an opportunity to stay up‑to‑date on this important part of the lighting industry.

Following a break for lunch on your own and the optional show floor tour, led by James Benya (Benya Burnett Consultancy), Mike Skurla (Acuity) will lead a seminar on Synergistic Buildings in the Era of IoT and Douglas Crumlich (Eaton Lighting Solutions) will close the day with the session Applying Wireless Technologies to Connected Lighting as a Catalyst for IoT.
