Neel Lighting & Controls held their annual product fair on the grounds of the beautiful Santa Barbara Club in downtown Santa Barbara on June 5th. Sixteen of their manufacturers set up displays and demos in the garden area of the club, and members of the local electrical industry stopped by in the afternoon and early evening to view the displays and talk with the experts. Fresh from the Lightfair Expo in May, many manufacturers had new technologies and fixture designs to show, which had not yet been seen in the local marketplace. The event was open to lighting designers, architects, electrical wholesalers, electrical engineers, integrators and end users. Several manufacturers gave AIA accredited courses in the club’s library, which were heavily attended.
After the product fair, there was a VIP plated dinner inside the club where invited guests were treated to a four course dinner. Guest speaker Pam Morris gave an excellent presentation which was enjoyed by everyone in attendance. Some of the comments sent via email the next day: “Thank you for the evening. It was very informative and elegant.” “Bravo on a successful event last night. Our small town has quite a quality design community and the quality of the manufacturers that I reviewed was extraordinary.” “Thank you for including us last night. As always, your organization goes first class and the effort is very much appreciated. We thoroughly enjoyed our dinners and our visiting with dinner companions. We got a lot out of the product show”.
