New RACO 939 Pan Brace Allows Fan Retrofits on Engineered Joists

RACO introduces the 939 ceiling pan and support brace. The 4″ round ceiling-fan rated pan and brace combination is the company’s first retrofit ceiling fan support designed for use on engineered joists.

RACO’s new pan and brace kit allows installing ceiling paddle fans or heavy lighting fixtures in any old work applications. Part of the Retro-Brace(R) line, the design specifically makes it suitable for use with engineered joists.

The simple tool-free expanding brace sits on the sheetrock and fits snugly against the bottom rails of the engineered joists. It can also be used with standard wood joists.

The cULus Listed 939 includes an up-front ground screw for easy installation and a nonmetallic sheathed cable connector. The support adjusts to fit joist spaces of 16-24 inches. Easy to follow instructions and all mounting hardware are included.

RACO’s Retro-Brace products support up to 70lb ceiling fans or 110lb heavy lighting fixtures. The RACO 939 Pan Brace is available now.
