NSi Industries’ TORK Multi-Voltage Timers Named Best New Products in Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s 2018 Product of the Year Program

HUNTERSVILLE, NC – NSi Industries, LLC announced that its TORK®1109A/1109A-O Multi-Voltage Timers have been voted one of the best new products of 2018 by the readers of Consulting-Specifying Engineer. The TORK timers have taken the Bronze award in the Lighting Controls category in Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s2018 Product of the Year (POY) program.

“We are honored that engineers and building professionals have chosen our TORK dual-voltage mechanical timers as a best new product,” saidG.R. Schrotenboer, chief executive officer, NSi Industries. “In addition to being the first timers to replace all single voltage switches, these timers are also the first in the industry to be cULus certified to control all LED products in both indoor and outdoor applications.”

The innovative mechanical timers feature voltages ranging from 120 to 277VAC. The timers are designed for residential and commercial use for a variety of loads requiring automatic ON and OFF during a 24-hour cycle when operation is required at the same time every day, saving energy, money and providing safety and security. The mechanical timers are most commonly used for lighting controls and are also ideal for controlling pumps, blowers, fans and heaters.

Designed for a minimum ON time of 20 minutes with a minimum OFF setting of 75 minutes, the timers’ dial accommodates up to 12 pairs of tripper tabs and also features a manual override.

Built to withstand harsh environments, the products feature a sealed motor, eliminating elements from interfering with the timer operations, which ultimately extends the life of each unit. A removable door allows for easy installation and the timers are lockable for added security.

The NSi timers conveniently reducing the number of SKUs distributors need to stock. In addition, the contractor/installer doesn’t need to carry numerous models on their service vehicles. Wiring diagrams show how to simply wire in the field for the specific voltage ranges.

Consulting-Specifying Engineer’s POY competition is the premier award for new products in the HVAC, fire/life safety, electrical, and plumbing systems engineering markets. The annual reader-choice program was created to provide readers with information about the top new products in their fields.
