Redesigned Armor Profile of MC Glide Tuff Glides with Ease through Metal Studs and Ceilings, without Sacrificing Flexibility or Strength

MC Glide Tuff™, a newly designed cable that glides through metal studs and ceilings to offer a smoother, faster, quieter cable pulling experience, is now available from Atkore under the AFC Cable Systems® brand. MC Glide Tuff is part of the MC Glide™ family and the latest innovation in cable that was previously available in aluminum.

“Different applications call for different types of cable so it’s essential that we provide our customers with options,” said Peter Lafreniere, senior product manager for the brand’s electrical cable and flex conduit products. “But the one common need we see across all industries and environments is for a positive installation experience. MC Glide Tuff provides installers the opportunity to reduce resistance and work more quickly and efficiently with less risk for stud damage.”

MC Glide Tuff’s unique, lightweight steel armor profile reduces friction and glides easily without sacrificing flexibility and strength, saving time and labor costs compared to legacy MC Cable.

Other important benefits of this high-strength, galvanized cable include durability, high corrosion resistance for harsh environments, and resistance to extreme heat and fire.

MC Glide meets the flexibility requirements of UL 1569 and is equal to or more flexible than MC- Lite®. MC Glide is also compatible with the installers’ current tools and fittings. For more information, visit Atkore.com.
