TCP Showcases Passel of Innovative Products at Lightfair International 2018

TCP showcased a passel of innovative products at LIGHTFAIR International 2018.

“Our goal is to return the company to the prominence it had reached before I left TCP,” said founder and CEO Ellis Yan, who rejoined the company after a two-year hiatus. “We want to generate excitement in our products with the innovation and technological advances we’ve made and are driven to be a market leader.”

It’s an exciting time for TCP with Yan’s return after leaving the company during the summer of 2015. In late 2017, Yan along with his brother, Solomon Yan, created a new lighting company, Quality Light Source. But the companies merged in late February 2018 and Ellis Yan has assumed the leadership role at TCP. Plus, TCP is celebrating its 25th anniversary.

Among the products TCP is debuted at Lightfair: an extended LED Flat Panel Series, additions to its LED High Bay family, the new Q-Sol Line of LED Products and LED PL Lamps.

The Inventor LED Flat Panel Series is custom-designed with the end-user’s needs in mind. The 1×4, 2×2 and 2×4 LED Flat Panel Luminaire provides a unique architectual look and feel to create a custom space and is fully dimmable. The panels are fade resistant and carry a 50,000 hour rated life. They are ideal for assisted living, retail, hospitality, commercial and office buildings as well as schools.

The LED High Bay fixture, integrated with microwave sensors, allows for bi-level dimming and can be integrated into outdoor luminaires providing dimming capabilities to 10 percent.

TCP also introduced its line of 100 CRI high-performance products (Q-Sol LED). This is a significant improvement of color rendering and the spectrum is the closest match to a standard illuminance and natural daylight. Furthermore, there’s no harmful ultraviolet light to damage interior furniture, merchandise or carpeting products and a decrease in the amount of blue light encourages natural balance and healthy living.

The Q-Sol LED Line has a 40,000 hours rated life and saves up to 85 percent in energy over traditional halogen and incandescent lamps. They are the perfect choice for virtually any application including retail, museums, hospitality, assisted living/nursing homes and office environments.

The complete line includes A-lamps, BR, PAR, MR16, T8 Tube, Downlight and Flat Panel. The Q-Sol Line will be available for purchase late in the year through Electrical Distributors in the U.S. and Canada.

How many of you remember the Incandescent Lamp? Well, it’s “Back to the Future” with TCP’s All Glass LED A-19 lamp. The Next Generation Classic features a glass housing that provides the look, feel and performance to match the traditional incandescent. With its sapphire-based filament technology, the A-19 saves up to 85% energy in comparison to a standard incandescent lamp and is fully dimmable from 100-0 percent.

The majority of the line is ENERGY STAR qualified and All Glass LED A-lamps can be purchased online at Amazon.com and through select Electrical Distributors in the U.S. and Canada. Applications for the A-19 are limitless but include hospitals, assisted living/nursing homes and residential.

TCP’s LED PL Lamps are a mercury-free replacement for traditional Compact Fluorescent Lamps (CFLs). Featuring a G24q and GX24a base type, these lamps are offered in Type A (direct replacement ballast dependent) or Type B (ballast bypass). Dimmability is dependent on the ballast. Each carries a 50,000 hour rated life and these lamps will be available later in the year.
