COSTA MESA, CA – Western Lighting and Energy Controls proudly announces the opening of Cree’s new West Coast distribution center in Ontario, CA.
Chosen for its proximity to the ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, the new West Coast distribution center is centrally located in with quick availability to the entire Southwest region.
Open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:30pm, the distribution center establishes a local supply of inventory for rapid shipping to Southern California customers to mitigate the long delivery times from Cree’s main US distribution center in Racine, Wisconsin. Southern California customers can look forward to shedding roughly four shipping days, when compared to similarly in-stock items from Wisconsin.
This new “Quick Ship” location with a select assortment of high-volume SKUs, stocks products such as the C-Lite product range, the LS and ZR series, as well as an assortment of lamps. All large, special order or custom items will still come from Wisconsin.
Cree’s new West Coast distribution center currently stocks 250 SKUs, with the expectation to grow to 500 SKUs in the near future. Will Call is currently available next-day, with same-day Will Call forthcoming. Normal minimums for ordering apply, and all ordering must be done through existing Customer Service process.
Cree’s plan for the new rapid fulfillment center was for more than quick turnaround for customers. Cree’s commitment to energy efficiency and eco consciousness goes further than the products they produce. The new West Cost warehouse takes a large number of cross-country freight trucks off the road, thereby reducing Cree’s carbon emissions and reliance on fossil fuels.
